mMegan_L.jpgBreaking into the Canadian country music scene, Windsor, ON singer/songwriter Melissa Megan plans to take the industry by storm. A Honey Jam Artist of 2015, Melissa won the “Get Me To Barbados” campaign granting her the opportunity through the Barbados Tourism Marketing Inc. to perform at Honey Jam Barbados 2015. 

Melissa’s unique sound has already garnered her a lot of attention. She has a growing fanbase in her hometown of Windsor, ON as well as London, ON where she attended Brescia University College. Melissa studied the effects of music on the brain, graduating as Valedictorian with an Honors Specialization in Psychology. 

An artist for over a decade, Melissa has shared her big vocals and piano skills across the province of Ontario. She has won a number of Canadian talent competitions, has entertained fans at London Lightning halftime shows, performed at massive charity events including “Braz for A Cause,” and has shared the stage with artists such as Danielle Wade, winner of CBC’s “Over the Rainbow: The Search for the Next Dorothy.” Her talent has been shaped by Pete Palazzolo of the Canadian Conservatory of Music, world renowned vocal coach Elaine Overholt of Big Voice Studios, and Lang Bliss of Tom Jackson Productions. 

Melissa has been co-writing with songwriters in Ontario and British Columbia. She is set to begin recording at MCC Recording Studios, a two-time CCMA Studio of the Year.
